Sfd Public Communications Plan

...organization to be successful, we need to take a position on service and defend it. People need to know what we have to offer and how it is valuable to them. We need to build brand recognition for SFD and define what it is we want to be known as. Communicating with the Public In order for our effeorts to be successful we need to create an environment where people care about us before they need us. Looking back at the most recent NAU survey, people that have used our services had nothing but good things to say about us. In order for our marketing to be successful, we need to make sure even the people who have not used our service recognize there is value in supporting our organization. Here are some of the methods we can use to accomplish this: Press releases – we need to be providing frequent updates to media outlets regarding our emergency responses and the events we do annually. Swiftwater training, fuels reduction, annual wildland refresher, and burn building training are just some of the examples of the events we need to provide press releases for. There are free wire services that can be used to get our message out. Some examples are PR Wire, PR Web, and free press release. Are we using these? Facebook (FB) – Social media is becoming more and more mainstream. Does SFD have a Facebook page? If so, how often is it updated and is the content interesting? Twitter – Another social media outlet that is free. The benefit of twitter and the sending of......

...MEMORANDUM To: Dilara Dyer From: Katie Rosser Date: 12/9/15 RE: FINAL EXAM Case Study #1: I choose to work on case study #1 over case study #2 because first I felt it would be more challenging than the other. As I read case study #2 I had this feeling like this was my life and I was living in Armando’s situation. My parents, recently divorced, co-own multiple franchises. I have been managing their franchises for over 7 years now but I am also ready to move on and try new things in my life. After I graduate college I plan on moving somewhere far out of Arizona. Just like Armando did. If that does happen and everything still stays the same and a couple years roll by I can foresee that my mother will want to retiree eventually. She is a business woman at heart however and will want to keep an eye on her empire so she will eventually offer the franchise to me but probably keep 10% or 15% of the company so she can just keep on eye on everything. My point is case study #2 is too easy. Instead of Mexicans I work specifically with Navajos and have been taught years ago a fraction of the Navajo language. So I have decided to push the boundaries of my management knowledge. In case study #1 I will try to open my mind in Penny’s situation to diversity, teamwork and the communication challenges I believe I will have to face in my near future. Question #1 (Discuss the case study in terms of diversity issues): This is a very great question because in today's economy the world is...

...ASSIGNMENT - 3 Answers 1 Answer 2 Answer 3 4. For what types of workloads does SJF deliver the same turnaround times as FIFO? ANSWER: - In the above case if the jobs are same in size or the jobs periodically applied (i.e. first shortest job then later second shortest job and continues) then the turnaround time of SJF is same as FIFO. 5. For what types of workloads and quantum lengths does SJF deliver the same response times as RR? ANSWER: - The response time delivered by SJF is equal to the response time of RR but this happens only when all the jobs arrived are at the point when the planning quantum of RR is bigger than the bigger occupation to be administrations in order of increasing size. 6. What happens to response time with SJF as job lengths increase? Can you use the simulator to demonstrate the trend? ANSWER: - If you suppose the length of the job increases then average response time varies (increases). If every job is sorted in increasing job order than the last job response time will be equal to the sum of current job and previous (n-1) jobs. In this way if the size of the job increases the response time will also increases for all larger jobs. 7. What happens to response time with RR as quantum lengths increase? Can you write an equation that gives the worst-case response time, given N jobs? ANSWER: - In the case of RR, the response time increases as the quantum lengths increases. This happens because the waiting time of a process for its turn......

...Populačný a potravinový problém soc. – ekon. rozvoja. Populačný problém: za posledných 250 r. sa počet obyvateľov sveta zvýšil 10 násobne, dnešný stav sa zdvojnásobí, než sa stabilizuje. Demografické trendy súčasného sveta – dva protichodné vývojové trendy v dvoch častiach sveta: a/Európa a Severná Amerika: 2/3 obyvateľov živí 1/3, trend: počet obyvateľov začne pomaly ubúdať → aktívna časť obyvateľov bude musieť uživiť viac dôchodcov ako dnes. b/rozvojové krajiny (RK): v Afrike – ½ obyvateľov musí uživiť druhú polovicu, demografická explózia tretieho sveta. Transformáciu meniaceho sa sveta umocňujú dva trendy: stále rýchlejší nárast svetovej populácie, migrácia obyvateľov RK z vidieka do miest. Populačný problém – rozvojové krajiny: realizujú politiku zameranú na reguláciu plodnosti – antipopulačná p. India – Indov sa rodí viac ako Číňanov → tlak na infraštruktúru a nízke zásoby vody a potravín, maximálne 3 deti v rodine → nepomer medzi narodenými pohlaviami → nelegálny výber pohlavia, potraty. ...The first thing that I would start teaching an ELL student English would be (this would be if the child what Hispanic) flash cards. This would start out simple like pencil, paper, food, bathroom. You know things where would could start our relationship. The next thing I would do is pictures of things and have words scrambled up. I would have the child match the words up to the right picture. I would also have fun games after they understand what’s going on. I would reward them with prizes as they win. I guess that could go along with the word scramble also. Have a computer set up so they could use to help understand what they might have missed. You could also pair them up with a friend, sometimes people learn better from peers than from a teacher. Audio over the radio. Sometimes after hearing it repeated several times, it does catch on. You could also do say and repeat practices. With my own experience I do know saying stuff aloud several times you do understand and comprehend better. You could make a little catchy tune to what you are learning at that time. Like the School House Rock. Those tunes are educational and when they get in your head they never come out. Some kids are visual and after writing the word several times and seeing it they understand where it comes from. Last but not least, when the children understand what they are learning, have a little quiz and see if they can write and sentence on what you have learnt.
