Cofidence
One of the best ways to build confidence is listening to a motivational speech. Unfortunately, opportunities to listen to a great speaker are few and far between. You can fill this need by creating a personal commercial. Write a 30-60 second speech that highlights your strengths and goals. Then recite it in front of the mirror aloud (or inside your head if you prefer) whenever you need a confidence boost.

When you focus too much on what you want, the mind creates reasons why you can’t have it. This leads you to dwell on your weaknesses. The best way to avoid this is consciously focusing on gratitude. Set aside time each day to mentally list everything you have to be grateful for. Recall your past successes, unique skills, loving relationships, and positive momentum. You’ll be amazed how much you have going for you and motivated to take that next step towards success

When we think negatively about ourselves, we often project that feeling on to others in the form of insults and gossip. To break this cycle of negativity, get in the habit of praising other people. Refuse to engage in backstabbing gossip and make an effort to compliment those around you. In the process, you’ll become well liked and build self confidence. By looking for the best in others, you indirectly bring out the best in yourself.

During group discussions many people never speak up because they’re afraid that people will judge them for saying something stupid. This fear isn’t really justified. Generally, people are much more accepting than we imagine. In fact most people are dealing with the exact same fears. By making an effort to speak up at least once in every group discussion, you’ll become a better public speaker, more confident in your own thoughts, and recognized as a leader by your peers.

Lord of the Rings Leadership Presentation

...less powerful. Upon becoming Gandalf the White, he appears to Legolas, Aragorn, and Gimli and explains to them what has happened to him, and begins to lead them to Rohan because a war is about to begin. Gandalf the White possesses many great leadership qualities throughout the film, as well as leadership qualities that are instilled in Frodo from before his death. A major sign of Gandalf’s leadership is when he rides to Rohan to release King Théoden from the spell he has been put under from Saruman and Grima Wormtongue. Although in the book he is not actually under a spell, he is just weak and susceptible to Wormtongue’s suggestions. He shows great leadership in proving to Saruman and Wormtongue that he is strong and powerful, and he releases Théoden from the spell even after Saruman says that it can never be done. Once King Théoden was free from Saruman and Wormtongue’s hold, Gandalf explained to him that there was a war coming, and that he needed to protect his citizens. Gandalf the White proves to be a great leader in the actions he took in advising Aragorn as well. Before King Théoden took his troops and citizens to Helm’s Deep, Gandalf advised Aragorn that Sauron fears him and what he may become. He explains to Aragorn that Sauron will strike and use Saruman to destroy Rohan. Gandalf was acting like a leader and priming them for the battle that is to happen. This is a true quality of a leader because he took it upon himself to explain......

Search Engine Optimization

...Affiliation Course Tutor Date Search Engine Optimization The World Wide Web has in the modern world become so vital in the sharing and connection of files and documents on the internet (Johnson, 2014). Because of the millions of files and documents available on the World Wide Web, programs have been developed to help users in their search for documents on the internet (Rohan, 2014). A program that locates and identifies documents on the World Wide Web that match keywords specified by the user is called a search engine. Popular examples of search engines include Google, Yahoo!, and MSN Search. After conducting a search, the engine displays websites that contain documents marching the keywords typed by the user with the most relevant at the top. The websites that appear at the top do so because of a technique known as search engine optimization (SEO). This technique assists search engines to identify and rank higher particular websites than numerous others in response to a search query. SEO involves writing pages that use keywords that are in regular use by people in searches (Rohan, 2014). Website owners use SEO in order to acquire quality results within search engines that are frequented by users, and this is in a bid to increase traffic to their websites. Designing and optimizing a site in a manner that it attains the highest search rankings is what SEO entails. The use of SEO is the cheapest as compared to Pay Per Click (PPC) Adwords (Rank......

The new franchisee he was trying to bring on fell out after months of negotiation, the training manager Rita, had told him she could hold on no longer, she’d like to quit and he’d had a showdown with Rohan his boss. Rohan felt sales were down and people were not performing with a friend’s negative feedback of a stylist being extremely abrasive, hurried and unsure of what the treatment asked for entailed, Rita had also got the brunt of this, which had started happening quite regularly now. He had also found staff chatting around and not being as proactive as they used to be. This was not the first time and Sanjay had tried to explain the situation but Rohan would call in Mr. Shah, minutes of to-do’s would be logged, things settle down and the whole affair repeat itself. Sanjay could not help but imagine how he had at one point enjoyed working for his company and what would finally pan out. Rohan had always been brilliant, an entrepreneur , free spirited and charismatic. ...the two sons, Rahul and Rohan with the help of a nanny, Dai Jaan (DJ). The importance of tradition is seen right from the start when the elderly son, Rahul comes back from the boarding school he was studying at which was also Yash’s school. Rohan, the younger son, still a kid at that time tried to protest from going to that school but was not given a choice since that was what “all the male’s in the family did and it was tradition”. Yash is a strong believer of family pride and discipline, arranges Rahul’s marriage with a wealthy girl Naina (Rani Mukherji) who was Rahul’s best friend. Rahul was the obedient son that every parent wants, he felt like he was in debt towards his parents as he was adopted and wanted to thank them by obeying everything he was told to do. However faith interferes and Rahul ends up falling in love with Anjali (Kajol), the daughter of a middle-class confectioner living in Chandni Chalk (middle-class area in Delhi), against the wishes of Yash. When Rahul marries Anjali despite Yash forbidding him, Yash kicks him out of the house, ignoring Nandini’s pleas to let Rahul stay. A Bombay Room with a View

...“Why is it that a father is never able to tell his son how much he loves him? / But the mother? She keeps repeating it, whether her son listens to it or not.” This is the first words we hear from the movie Kabhi Khushi Khabie Gham (KKKG), a Bollywood blockbuster marketed to the masses as “all about the family”. Released in 2001, following the path of director Karan Johar’s first movie, KKKG tells a multi-faceted story that is depicted over a long time period. The film centers around a family-driven drama where we track the storyline across 3 different generations. Amitabh Bachchan plays a wealthy businessman and the patriarch of the Raichand family with 2 sons – the elder Rahul, who is revealed early on to be adopted, and the younger Rohan. The crux of the film’s drama is drawn from the eldest son’s marriage to a woman from a lower socio-economic background, against the wishes of his father. Following the marriage, the father disowns Rahul and he leaves with his bride to London. The latter half of the movie is centered on Rohan’s storyline with his love interest, Pooja, and his attempts to bring Rahul and his family back into the family home in India. On the surface it seems we have entered yet another Bollywood film on family drama but KKKG goes beyond that. From the first few lines we can already witness the beginnings of a gender discourse – why is one gender like this and the other so different? In this review, I will elaborate on how the film establishes itself......

...IS610 | 4G Wireless Cellular Technology | Need for Standardization | | Rohan Mammen | 11/22/2010 | | ABSTRACT Currently, the fourth generation cellular technology is in the early stages of determining of standardization. Although this new wireless technology seems to offer high data and roaming capabilities across different systems, all key aspects still need detailed understanding, further research and overall development. Currently this technology is in its infancy with respect to creating standards, and henceforth various organizations such the ITU and IEEE have formed several initiatives to create a suitable 4G mobile standards system. The development of 3GPP LTE from UMTS is as such an important step towards the evolution standard, and similarly so is WiMAX developed by IEEE. All of these technologies have unique characteristics while meeting 4G criteria and thus enabling it to become dominant force in the near future. This will indicate all the new trends and technologies needed to execute the next generation cellular mobile technology while showcasing possible scenarios that would benefit the new fourth generation technology. INTRODUCTION In a rapidly moving economy, there exists a fundamental need for communication and for this purpose, instantaneous access to information irrespective of time and location. ...Vericomp Case Study Team – Group 18 Team Members – Abhishu Rakshit (FT12182) Rohan Shah (FT12183) Planning and Preparation Analyzing the numbers Nominal Price - As put up during the earlier round of negotiation, the purchase price was $5,000,000. We had prepared to try and bring that down to $4,500,000 as normal bargaining. Schedule of Payments - Initially it was decided to have back loaded payments. We went with an intention of earning better discounts by making them front loaded payments or level payments as we were the pioneers in the industry and thus would have good cash balance. Service - Standard service was agreed upon. But as this is specialized machinery, we would require complete service coverage which was a level 4 service level. We needed to negotiate the service price. Delivery Date - Our requirement was for immediate delivery. This should not be much of a problem according to us as Riggs was capable of delivering the machinery as soon as possible is what we assumed. Although due to relocation of labor resources we may have had to give some up charge regarding immediate delivery but we wanted to offset this by changing the schedule of payments. Actions during the negotiation and Actions decided/done after: We began the negotiation by starting the pricing for the level 4 service. Initial range of the service pricing was varying between $1.4 million and $2 million. After much persuasion and understanding each others’ issues, we...
