Today’s complex software systems access heterogeneous data from a variety of backend databases. The intricate mix of client-server and Web-enabled database applications are extremely difficult to test productively. Testing at the data access layer is the point at which your application communicates with the database. Tests at this level are vital to improve not only your overall test strategy, but also your product’s quality. In this presentation you’ll find out what you need to know to test the SQL database engine, stored procedures, and data views. Find out how to design effective automated tests that exercise the complete database layer of your applications. You’ll learn about the most common and vexing defects related to SQL databases and the best tools available to support your testing efforts.

Db Oracle

...Non-Functional Testing and Security Testing in Mobile Application Development Abstract Smart-phones have become part of human life. As smartphones become more powerful and usage rises, Smartphone makers have a much wider range of innovation possibilities than their PC counterparts. The personal nature and pocket size of mobile phones and their potential offer a wide scope for developing distinctive handset models targeted at a specific segment of the smart-phone market. The mobile application market’s growth is driven by the widespread push of advanced handset capabilities by the mobile industry and the increasingly-connected global consumer base. Progress of network technologies, restructuring of revenue-sharing pattern, lowering of mobile data usage cost, growing adoption of smart phones, and increase in application usability have contributed to the growth of mobile application adoption globally. This trend has led to substantial surge in the dependence and usage of the mobile Internet, specifically mobile applications. Mobile Application Development is the method by which application software is produced for low power handling devices, mobile devices, and other small digital equipment. As this technological development continues to gain momentum, it's quickly turning into one of the most powerful industries in the world. Majority of the mobile application testers tend to focus more on testing the product against client requirements – Functional testing and pay......

Geography Db

...DB 1: Geography posted by Stacy Harris Thu Dec 9 23:48:28 2010 According to yourdictionary.com, Geography is defined as the study of the earth and all of its features. This also includes the human race and the effect that humans play on the earth. NationalGeographic.com states that there are five themes in Geography. These themes are location, place, human/environment interactions, movement, and regions. If I would have not read this article, I would think that location, place, and region are just about the same. But as I read the article, I found this was not the case. Location refers to the latitude and longitude of an exact spot on a map or globe. Places are defined by the characteristics that distinguish them from other places. For instances, the animal population of certain place makes it unique, as well as other features like mountains and even human architecture. Region refers to an area on earth that is unified by a specific attribute. These attributes can be either human or physical and can include things like climate, religious, political, cultural, and many others. Movement is used to study the way people and products move from one place to another through interactions and travel. It is also used to study resources and where they are located around the earth and how these resources are dispersed throughout the world. Human interaction/environment is used to describe the way that people interact with the world around them. This interaction can be both positive and......
